Martin Cibák
Martin Cibák (born 17 May 1980) is a Slovak former professional ice hockey player. Biography Cibák was born in Liptovský Mikuláš, Czechoslovakia. As a youth, he played in the 1994 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a team from Poprad. Cibák won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003–04 NHL season, and also played with the Slovak National Team in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. Cibak earned the nickname "Cibby" while playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He signed a one-year contract with Frölunda HC in August, 2006. In summer 2007, he signed a contract with Södertälje SK and left the club on 26 April 2009 to sign with HC Spartak Moscow HC Spartak Moscow (, ) is a professional ice hockey club based in Moscow, Russia. Liptovský Mikuláš
Liptovský Mikuláš (; until 1952 ''Liptovský Svätý Mikuláš'', ; ) is a town in northern Slovakia, on the Váh River, about from Bratislava. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. Peter Cibák
Peter Cibák (born 2 March 1981 in Liptovský Mikuláš) is a Slovak slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1996 to 2010, specializing in the K1 discipline. He won a bronze medal in the K1 event at the 2005 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Penrith, becoming the first Slovak paddler to win an individual K1 medal at the World Championships. He also won 2 bronze medals at the 2002 European Championships in Bratislava (K1 and K1 team). The 2004 World Cup of Hockey was an international ice hockey tournament. It was the second installment of the National Hockey League (NHL)-sanctioned competition, eight years after the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey. The 2003–04 NHL season was the 87th regular season of the National Hockey League. The Stanley Cup champions were the Tampa Bay Lightning, who won the best of seven series four games to three against the Calgary Flames. Stanley Cup
The Stanley Cup () is the championship trophy awarded annually to the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff champion. It is the oldest existing trophy to be awarded to a professional sports franchise in North America, and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) considers it to be one of the "most important championships available to the sport". Poprad
