Mark Reichel
Mark J. Reichel is a criminal and civil attorney in Sacramento, California and a partner in the law firm Reichel & Plesser, LLP. He is also the vice chairman of the Sacramento board of the American Civil Liberties Union. Reichel has been involved in several prominent criminal and civil cases including: ''United States v. Anthony Silva (politician)
Anthony Silva (born 1974) is an American politician who served as the 78th mayor of Stockton, California from 2013 until 2017. He is also a member of the San Joaquin County Central Committee of the Republican Party. Mayor of Stockton Silva was elected mayor in the Stockton's 2012 mayoral election, unseating incumbent mayor Ann Johnston. On May 15, 2014 Silva slept in a cardboard box outside to draw attention to the problem of homelessness. On November 16, 2015, Silva gave God the key to the city of Stockton. Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. (born November 8, 1945) is an American serial killer, sex offender, burglar, and former police officer who committed at least 13 murders, 51 rapes, and 120 burglaries across California between 1974 and 1986. He is responsible for at least three separate crime sprees throughout the state, each of which spawned a different nickname in the press, before it became evident that they were committed by the same person. Shooting Of Stephon Clark
In the late evening of March 18, 2018, Stephon Clark, a 22-year-old African-American man, was shot and killed in Meadowview, Sacramento, California by Terrence Mercadal and Jared Robinet, two officers of the Sacramento Police Department in the backyard of his grandmother's house while he had a phone in his hand. The encounter was filmed by police video cameras and by a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department helicopter which was involved in observing Clark on the ground and in directing ground officers to the point at which the shooting took place. The officers stated that they shot Clark, firing 20 rounds, believing that he had pointed a gun at them. Police found only a cell phone on him.
