Mario Alberto Kempes Chiodi (, ; born 15 July 1954) is an Argentine former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker or Attacking Midfielder, attacking midfielder. A prolific goalscorer, he finished as La Liga's Pichichi Trophy, top goalscorer twice with Valencia CF, Valencia where he amassed 116 goals in 184 league games. He is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. At international level, Kempes was the focal point of Argentina's 1978 FIFA World Cup, 1978 World Cup win where he scored twice in the 1978 FIFA World Cup Final, final and received the FIFA World Cup awards#Golden Boot, Golden Boot as top goalscorer. Club The Strongest is a Bolivian professional football club based in La Paz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1908, their team colours are yellow and black. In Spanish Association football, football, the Pichichi Trophy () is awarded by the sports newspaper ''Marca (newspaper), Marca'' to the top goalscorer of each La Liga season. Named after the Athletic Bilbao striker Pichichi (footballer), Rafael "Pichichi" Moreno, the trophy has been awarded annually since the 1952–53 La Liga, 1952–53 season.
