Marina Bay is a bay located in the Central Area, Singapore, Central Area of Singapore, surrounded by the perimeter of four other planning areas, the Downtown Core, Marina East, Marina South and Straits View. The area surrounding the bay itself, also called Marina Bay, is a 360 hectare extension to the adjacent Central Business District. It is also the new downtown of Singapore, built on Singapore's reclaimed land. Buildings include Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Asia Square, The Sail @ Marina Bay and Marina One integrated mixed-use developments. Downtown Core
The Downtown Core is the historical and downtown centre of the city-state of Singapore and the main commercial area in Singapore excluding reclaimed lands with two integrated resorts such as the Marina Bay Sands, one of the most expensive buildings in the world, with a luxurious standalone casino at Bayfront Avenue. There are many skyscrapers in Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar and Marina Bay CBD with a height limit of 280m. Rochor River
The Rochor River ( zh, s=梧槽河; ) is a small, canalised river in Kallang of the Central Region in Singapore. The river is about 0.8 km in length. Description The Rochor River is a continuation of the Rochor Canal, and begins beneath Victoria Bridge and empties into the Kallang Basin. Geylang River
Geylang River (; Simplified Chinese: 芽茏河) is a canalised river flowing from Geylang to Kallang, in the Central Region of Singapore. With the formation of the Marina Reservoir after the completion of the Marina Barrage in 2008, the river now forms part of the reservoir. Geylang River begins at Ubi as Geylang Canal, continues southwards under Eunos Road 5 and Sims Avenue, and turns westwards after Geylang Road and Lorong 40 Geylang, but flows southwards again near Guillemard Road, before turning westwards again after the junction of Old Airport Road and Dunman Road, through Mountbatten Road and Stadium Way. Kallang River
The Kallang River (, ) is the longest river in Singapore, flowing for 10 kilometers from the Lower Peirce Reservoir (originally named "Kallang River Reservoir") to the Kallang Basin. It originates in the Planning Areas of Singapore, planning area of Central Water Catchment, flows in a southeast direction through Bishan, Singapore, Bishan and Toa Payoh, before finally arriving in Kallang.
