Marija Vojskovič
Marija Vojskovič (25 October 1915 – 1997) was a Slovene writer, best known for her short stories and semi-autobiographical writing. Vojskovič was born in Ljubljana in 1915. Her family had just moved there from Trieste after the outbreak of the First World War. She wrote short stories and articles published in numerous journals and magazines. Levstik Award Laureates
Fran Levstik (28 September 1831 – 16 November 1887) was a Slovenes, Slovene writer, political activist, playwright and critic. He was one of the most prominent exponents of the Young Slovene political movement. Life and work Levstik was born in 1831 in Dolnje Retje (now part of the municipality of Velike Lašče) in Lower Carniola (then part of the Austrian Empire, today in Slovenia) in a peasant Slovenes, Slovene family. Levstik was the first notable writer of Slovene epic prose.
