Mariah Hill is an unincorporated community in Carter Township, Spencer County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. History Mariah Hill was originally called Maria Hilf, and under the latter name was laid out in 1860. The town's original German name was devoted to ''Maria, Hilfe der Christen'' ( Mary Help of Christians). The name Maria Hilf was altered and anglicized by postal authorities when a post office was established as Mariah Hill in 1862. Notable people NFL player Ken Dilger is a past resident of Mariah Hill. He was a Pro Bowl tight end with the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dilger is an alumnus of the University of Illinois and Heritage Hills High School. Former NFL running back Bruce King is also a native of Mariah Hill. The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. Peach Bowl
The Peach Bowl is an annual college football bowl game played in Atlanta, Georgia since December 1968. Since 1997, it has been sponsored by Chick-fil-A and is officially known as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. From 2006 to 2013, it was officially referred to as simply the Chick-fil-A Bowl. The Purdue Boilermakers are the official intercollegiate athletics teams representing Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. Bruce King (born January 7, 1963) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League (NFL). He split his 3-year career with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Heritage Hills High School is a public high school located in Lincoln City, Indiana, United States. It serves students in grades 9-12 for the North Spencer School Corporation.
