Maria José Valério
Maria José Valério Dourado (6 May 1933 – 3 March 2021) was a Portuguese people, Portuguese singer known for being a supporter of Sporting CP and the performer of "Marcha do Sporting", which was adopted as the club's anthem. Biography Valério was born on 6 May 1933 in Amadora. She started singing in 1950, at Liceu D. João de Castro, where she was a colleague of actress Lourdes Norberto. She attended the Radio Artists Preparation Center, at the then Emissora Nacional de Radiodifusão, National Broadcaster, becoming part of the cast. She was the niece of conductor Frederico Valério, for whom she recorded many songs. Valério gained prominence with the success of themes such as "O Polícia Sinaleiro" as well as the program Serões para Trabalhadores, alongside names such as Rui de Mascarenhas, Gina Maria or Paula Ribas. Amadora
Amadora () is a municipality and urbanized city in the northwest of the Lisbon metropolitan area and 10 km from central Lisbon. The population in 2011 was 175,136, in an area of 23.78 km² (9.2 sq mi). It is the most densely populated municipality in Portugal. Valentim de Carvalho () is a Portuguese record label founded in 1914. History The company started selling phonograph, musical instruments and music since its 1914 foundation at the Rua da Assunção, Lisbon. It distributes EMI in Portugal since 1920. VDC also carved names in the Portuguese music industry like Amália Rodrigues, António Variações and, most recently, Os Pontos Negros. It has two sub-labels: Popular and NorteSul. In 1994, the company was merged with EMI to form EMI-Valentim de Carvalho and also distributed UMG Portugal. António Calvário
António Calvário da Paz (born 17 October 1938) is a Portuguese singer and artist from the late 1950s and 1960s. Life and career Born in Lourenço Marques, Portuguese Mozambique, in Africa, still as a child, he settled with his family in Portugal's southern region of Algarve, in Europe, where he was raised. At 18 years old he moved from Portimão to Lisbon in order to continue his formal education and pursue a career as a singer. He represented Portugal in the 1964 Eurovision Song Contest, in Denmark, with the song "Oração" (Portuguese for "prayer"). Other music successes of his include the songs Regresso, O Meu Chapéu, Sabor a Sal, Perdão para Nós Dois, Bom Dia, Meu Coração de Madeira, Namorados de Domingo and Mocidade Mocidade. The 1999–2000 Primeira Liga was the 66th season of top-tier football in Portugal. The competition was renamed Campeonato Nacional da Primeira Liga (National Championship of the First League), Primeira Liga for short, after the Portuguese League for Professional Football took control of the two top nationwide leagues in 1999. It started on 20 August 1999 and ended on 14 May 2000. The league was contested by 18 clubs with Porto as the defending champions.
