1991 Australian Open – Women's Singles
Monica Seles defeated Jana Novotná in the final, 5–7, 6–3, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1991 Australian Open. It was her first Australian Open title and second major title overall. Seles saved a match point en route to the title, in the semifinals against Mary Joe Fernández. Hørsholm () is an urban area on the Øresund coast approximately north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It covers most of Hørsholm Municipality and straddles the borders neighbouring Fredensborg Municipality and Rudersdal Municipality.
