Mareks Jurevičus (born 17 January 1985) is a Latvian professional basketball player, who plays the Shooting guard, Small forward position. He's currently playing for the France ProA club Elan Chalon. ES Chalon-Sur-Saône (ProA) added to their roster 28-year-old Latvian ex-international swingman Mareks Jurevicus (198–86 kg-85). He played last season at Prima Veroli in Italian Lega Due Gold. EuroBasket 2011 was the 37th men's European Basketball Championship, held by FIBA Europe. The competition was hosted by Lithuania. This was the second time EuroBasket had been held in Lithuania, the country having also hosted the 1939 championship. FIBA Europe asserted that Lithuania managed to organize the best European championship in its history. The top two teams are guaranteed spots at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The Latvia men's national basketball team () represents Latvia in international basketball. They are organized and run by the Latvian Basketball Association.
