Marcus Russell
Marcus Russell is the manager of Oasis, and numerous other rock bands, musicians and singer-songwriters. He serves as the managing director of both Ignition Management and Ignition Records, as well as managing director of Big Brother Recordings. Born in Ebbw Vale, South Wales, on the 22 of May 1953, Russell was educated at Ebbw Vale County Grammar School from 1964 to 1971. He then worked as a blast furnace operative for British Steel at Ebbw Vale Works and for NCB at Waun-y-Pound open cast coal mine between 1971 and 1974. In 1974, he left South Wales to study at Middlesex Polytechnic. Russell went on to teach at comprehensive schools in Harlow, Essex, before becoming Head of Economics at Royal Liberty School in Romford, Essex, in 1983. In 1984, Russell left the teaching profession to set up his own management company in the music industry, naming it Ignition. Oasis (band)
Oasis are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The group initially consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals), Paul Arthurs, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (musician), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums). Liam asked his older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar, vocals) to join as a fifth member a few months later to finalise their formation. Noel became the ''de facto'' leader of the group and took over the songwriting duties for the band's first four studio albums. They are regarded as one of the defining and most globally successful groups of the Britpop genre. Neil Finn
Neil Mullane Finn (born 27 May 1958) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for being a principal member of Split Enz and for being the lead singer of Crowded House. He was also a member of Fleetwood Mac from 2018 until 2022. Ed O'Brien of Radiohead has hailed Finn as popular music's "most prolific writer of great songs". Finn joined Split Enz in 1977 after the departure of founding member Phil Judd and facilitated the band's shift away from art rock towards new wave pop. Courteeners
Courteeners are an English band formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester, in 2006 by Liam Fray (lead guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel "Conan" Moores (rhythm guitar) and Mark Cuppello (bass); the last was replaced by the band's producer Joe Cross in 2015. They previously toured with pianist Adam Payne, who has been featured on every album, but in 2019 was replaced with Elina Lin. In December 2012, the band dropped "The" from their name, continuing simply as "Courteeners". In 2024, Cross and Lin became official members of the band. Stereophonics are a Welsh pop and rock music, Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley.
