Marcus Högström
Marcus Högström (born March 20, 1989) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Högström played in the youth set-ups of Svegs IK, Skellefteå AIK and MODO Hockey. He then spent the 2009-10 campaign with Molot-Prikamie Perm in Russia's second-tier league. He made his Elitserien debut playing with Skellefteå AIK during the 2010–11 Elitserien season and would jump between Sweden's top-flight and the second division HockeyAllsvenskan in the following years, playing for clubs like Timrå IK, IF Sundsvall Hockey, Malmö Redhawks, Almtuna IS and Djurgårdens IF. After two full seasons with Djurgårdens IF in the Elitserie, he left for the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2016, joining HC Spartak Moscow. He was waived by the KHL side in late November 2016 and accepted an offer from Finnish Liiga outfit HIFK a couple of days later. Sveg () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Härjedalen Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden with 2,547 inhabitants in 2010. The Malmö Redhawks (colloquially referred to simply as Malmö or by past abbreviation MIF) are a Swedish professional ice hockey team based in Malmö which plays in the SHL, with Malmö Arena as the venue for home games. The history of the team dates back to 1944 as the ice hockey division of the now exclusively football club Malmö FF. In 1972 the team divested from Malmö FF, marking the start of the hockey association initially known as Malmö IF. The team name was changed to MIF Redhawks in 2001 and then to the present name IF Malmö Redhawks in 2004. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league comprises 32 teams, with 26 in the United States and 6 in Canada. As of the 2024–25 AHL season, all 32 NHL teams held affiliations with an AHL team. 2017–18 SHL Season
} The 2017–18 SHL season was the 43rd season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The season began in September 2017, and the regular season ended in March 2018, to be followed by the Swedish Championship playoffs, as well as relegation playoffs. The league consisted of 14 teams.
