Marcos Antonio Amaro dos Santos (born 25 September 1957) is a Brazilian Army general and former Chief of the Brazilian Army General Staff, replacing General Walter Souza Braga Netto. Military career He started his military career on 4 March 1974, at the Brazilian Army Preparatory School for Cadets (EsPCEx). Was promoted to major on 31 August 1993. Reached to the last post in the military as Army General on 31 March 2018. Amaro already occupied the post of Chief of the Military House of the Presidency between 2 October 2015 and 19 May 2016. Other posts were as Army's Secretary of Economy and Finance as well the Southeastern Military Region command between 31 July 2019 and 30 March 2020. On 31 March 2020, he was named Chief of the Brazilian Army General Staff by president Jair Bolsonaro. Left office after 2 years in office after being transferred to military reserve force. Motuca
Motuca is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The population is 4,795 (2020 est.) in an area of 229 km2. The elevation is 618 m. The municipality was created on January 20, 1990. History The first records of settlement in Motuca date back to 1892, with the construction of the Rincão/Bebedouro Railway by the Companhia Paulista de Estrada de Ferro. The area, abundant in water resources, received cattle drivers and their herds from distant regions. The junction of the railway with the cattle trail was natural, as both cattle and coffee were unloaded there. Rui Costa dos Santos (Brazilian Portuguese: �uj kɔstɐ dus sɐ̃tus born 18 January 1963) is a Brazilian economist and politician who has served as the Chief of Staff of the Presidency since 1 January 2023. He previously served as governor of Bahia from January 2015 to December 2022. He is affiliated with the Workers' Party (PT). The order of precedence in Brazil is a symbolic hierarchy of officials used to direct protocol. It is regulated by Presidential Decree number 70.274 of March 9, 1972, signed by former President Emilio Medici. The following order applies to ceremonies hosted by the federal government. This formal order of precedence was established during the military dictatorship, and hasn't been amended after the country's return to democracy in the 1980s. However, changes have informally been introduced to it, so that the ''de jure'' precedence no longer corresponds to the ''de facto'' arrangements that prevail in current practice. For instance, the head of the military cabinet, the head of the intelligence service and general officers of the Armed Forces no longer enjoy a precedence as high as is assigned to them by the 1972 Decree. The Escola Preparatória de Cadetes do Exército - EsPCEx (Brazilian Army Preparatory School of Cadets) is a coeducational one-year military school in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. EsPCEx started construction in 1944, but due to budget constraints, did not open until the late 1960's. EsPCEx is for students wanting to become commissioned officers in the Brazilian Armed Forces. It prepares candidates for entrance into the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN). The coursework at EsPCEx compares to the first year at a regular higher education institution, but with the addition of military subjects. There is also an emphasis on physical training. After graduating from EsPCEx, students enter AMAN or received the Reserve Certificate for the military service they performed at EsPCEx.
