Maraşal Fevzi Çakmak is a village in the Çanakkale District of Çanakkale Province in Turkey. Its population is 209 (2021). A village (, ''karye'' in the Ottoman era) is the second smallest settlement unit in Turkey. The 51 regular provinces of Turkey and 30 province-level Metropolitan municipalities in Turkey, metropolitan municipalities are divided into Districts of Turkey, districts. Çanakkale Province
Çanakkale Province () is a province of Turkey, located in the northwestern part of the country. It takes its name from the city of Çanakkale. Its area is 9,817 km2, and its population is 559,383 (2022). Like Istanbul, Çanakkale province has a European (Thrace) and an Asian (Anatolia) part. The European part is formed by the Gallipoli (Gelibolu) peninsula, while the Asian part is largely coterminous with the historic region of Troad in Anatolia. They are separated by the Dardanelles strait, connecting the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea. The archaeological site of Troy is found in the Çanakkale province, near the village Tevfikiye. Çanakkale District is the most populous district of the province. Fevzi Çakmak
Mustafa Fevzi Çakmak (12 January 1876 – 10 April 1950) was a Turkish field marshal (''Mareşal (Turkey), Mareşal'') and politician. He served as the Chief of General Staff from 1918 and 1919 and later the Imperial Government (Ottoman Empire), Minister of War of the Ottoman Empire in 1920. He later joined the provisional Government of the Grand National Assembly and became the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of National Defense (Turkey), Minister of National Defense and later as the Prime Minister of Turkey from 1921 to 1922.
