Marantz 2275 Receiver
Marantz is a company that develops and sells high-end audio products. The company was founded in New York, but is now based in California. The first Marantz audio product was designed and built by Saul Marantz in his home in Kew Gardens, Queens, Kew Gardens, New York City. The company had a major influence in the development of high fidelity audio systems, and reached the high point of their success in the mid to late 1970s. During the 1980s, while owned by Philips, a pioneer in compact disc technology, Marantz sold some very well received CD players, but other products in the line were not as successful as in the past. Beginning in the early 1990s, Marantz focused on higher-end components. In 2001, Marantz Japan acquired the brand from Philips and owned all overseas sales subsidiaries. The RCA connector is a type of electrical connector commonly used to carry analog audio and video signals. The name refers to the popular name of Radio Corporation of America, which introduced the design in the 1930s. Typically, the output is a plug type connector and the input a jack type connector. Marantz HD77
HD77 is a model name of Marantz 4-way high-fidelity loudspeakers produced during the mid-1970s. They were bass reflex speakers but came with a cylinder (geometry), cylindrical piece of foam which fit into the bass-reflex port of the speaker box, enclosure, allowing listeners to achieve more accurate Bass (sound), bass response similar to that of airtight speaker boxes. Although this configuration wasn’t fully airtight in theory— technically considered aperiodic—the plug used was actually made of closed-cell foam, which did seal the cabinet completely.
