Mara ḏ-Rabuta
In Mandaeism, Hayyi Rabbi (Neo-Mandaic; ), 'The Great Living God', is the supreme God from which all things emanate. Hayyi Rabbi is also known as "The First Life", since during the creation of the material world, Yushamin emanated from Hayyi Rabbi as the 'Second Life'. Ptahil
In Mandaeism, Ptahil () also known as Ptahil-Uthra (uthra, "angel, guardian"), is the Fourth Life, the third of three emanations from the First Life, Hayyi Rabbi, after Yushamin and Abatur. Ptahil-Uthra alone does not constitute the demiurge but only fills that role since he is viewed as the creator of the material world in the Ginza Rabba, often holding an inherently malicious character. Name Matthias Norberg believed the name Ptahil to be composed of Aramaic and , therefore meaning "God opened", although the verb can also mean "create" in Mandaic, but not in other Aramaic languages. Brikha Nasoraia
Rishama Brikha H. S. Nasoraia (full name: Brikha Haithem Saed Naṣoraia; ; born 1964 in Iraq) is an Iraqi-Australian Mandaean priest and scholar based in Sydney, Australia. He is affiliated with the University of Sydney and Mardin Artuklu University. He is currently a Professor of Comparative Semitics, Literature and Art History. He currently holds the rank of rishama, the highest rank of the Mandaean priesthood. Early life and education Brikha Nasoraia was born in Iraq to Mahdi Saed (father; ) and Layla (mother). His Mandaean baptismal name is Sam bar Sam Yuhana (). He belongs to the Kuhailia ( Choheili) family and can thus trace his ancestry back to Adam Zakia, the father of Bihram Bar-Hiia, who lived around 1500 A.D. The Mandaic word mana () is a term that is roughly equivalent to the philosophical concept of ''nous''. It has been variously translated as "mind", "soul", "treasure", "Garment", "Intellect", "Intelligence", "Heart", "Spirit", "Being"; or alternatively as "nous", "consciousness", or "vessel". Daily prayer in Mandaeism, called brakha in Mandaic language, Mandaic (cognate with Hebrew ''berakhah'' and Arabic ''barakah'') or occasionally ''birukta'' (''birukhta''), consists of set prayers that are recited three times per day. Asut Malkia
The ''Asut Malkia'' ("Salutation of Kings") is one of the most commonly recited prayers in Mandaeism. In the prayer, the reciter wishes health and victory (''asuta u-zakuta'' ) upon dozens of heavenly and ancestral figures. According to E. S. Drower, it is recited daily by priests and also before all baptisms (''masbuta''), ritual meals ('' lofani''), and various rites. The ''Asut Malkia'' is numbered as Prayer 105 in E. S. Drower's version of the Qulasta, which was based on manuscript 53 of the Drower Collection (abbreviated DC 53). Etymology ''Asut'' or ''asuta'' can be literally translated as 'healing' and can also mean 'salutation' or 'greeting', while ''malkia'' means 'kings' (singular form: ''malka''). Divine Countenance
The divine countenance is the face of God. The concept has special significance in the Abrahamic religions.
