Manuel del Pópulo Vicente Rodriguez García (also known as Manuel García the Senior; 21 January 1775 – 10 June 1832) was a Spanish opera singer, composer, impresario, and singing teacher. He is often credited as a key figure in the development of modern vocal technique and vocal pedagogy. Biography García was born in Seville, Spain, on 21 January 1775. In 1808, he went to Paris, with previous experience as a tenor at Madrid and Cadiz. By that year, when he appeared in the opera '' Griselda'' in Paris, he was already a composer of light operas. He lived in Naples, Italy, performing in Gioachino Rossini's operas. These included the premières of ''Elisabetta, regina d'Inghilterra'', in which he portrayed The Duke of Norfolk and ''The Barber of Seville'', in which he portrayed the role of Count Almaviva. Manuel García Pelayo
Manuel García Pelayo (May 23, 1909 – February 25, 1991), prominent Spanish political scientist and jurist. He was the founder of the modern Department of Political Science of the Central University of Venezuela and was elected President of the Constitutional Court of Spain in 1980. Biography Born in Corrales del Vino, Zamora Province, García Pelayo attended high school at the Institute of Zamora (1926) and later moved to Madrid, where he studied law at the Universidad Central until (1934). He obtained a scholarship from the Junta de Ampliación de Estudios and studied at the University of Vienna in Austria. When on July 18, 1936, the Spanish Civil War started, he enlisted in the Spanish Republican Army even though his father and brother were fighting for the Nationalist side. Manuel Pereiras García (born 1950) is the author and translator of numerous plays in English and Spanish. Biography Pereiras García was born in Cifuentes, Cuba, in 1950. His works have been performed at Mercy College, Dumé Spanish Theatre, Stonewall Repertory Theatre, Theater for the New City, and INTAR Theatre. Pereiras García has also written about the history of theater with a focus on Cuban and Spanish drama. In 1998, his complete plays were published by Presbyter's Peartree. Manuel García Carranza (December 28, 1905 – April 13, 1995), nicknamed "Cocaína", was a Cuban professional baseball pitcher and outfielder in the American Negro leagues in the 1920s and 1930s. A native of Manacas, Cuba, García made his Negro leagues debut in 1927 for the Cuban Stars (West). He earned his unusual nickname as a result of batters who "seemed drugged by his pitches and unable to concentrate or focus on the baseball." Juan Manuel García (born 8 July 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the San Luis de Quillota. Career García's first club were Rosario Central, he was promoted into the first-team during the 2010–11 Primera B Nacional when he was an unused substitute away to Defensa y Justicia on 19 June 2011. In the following season, 2011–12, García made twenty-four appearances including his pro debut on 25 September 2011 versus Boca Unidos. However, in the next five seasons, he featured just eighteen times. In June 2016, García was loaned to Gimnasia y Esgrima of the Argentine Primera División. Manuel Alejandro García (born 25 April 1985) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a midfielder. He is currently a free agent. Career García began his senior career in 2003 with Coquimbo Unido of the Chilean Primera División.
