Manuel António Marques Machado
Manuel António Marques Machado (born 4 December 1955) is a Portuguese football manager. In a career of nearly three decades, he was most associated with Nacional, whom he led in five spells and always in the Primeira Liga. In the top flight he was also in charge of Vitória de Guimarães (three spells), Moreirense (twice), Académica, Braga and Arouca. Abroad, he had a brief spell at Aris in Super League Greece. Football career Early career Born in the village of Oliveira, in Guimarães, Machado started his career with his local Vitória de Guimarães' youths, having a head coach spell with lowly S.C. Vila Real in between. After two years with another modest club in the north, AD Fafe, he moved to another side in his region, Moreirense F.C. in 2000, helping to promotion from the third division to the Primeira Liga in just two years. 2002–03 Primeira Liga
The 2002–03 Primeira Liga was the 69th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 25 August 2002 with a match between Varzim and Paços de Ferreira, and ended on 1 June 2003. The league was contested by 18 clubs with Sporting CP as the defending champions. Porto won the league and qualified for the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League group stage, along with Benfica, who qualified for the third round. Sporting and União de Leiria qualified for the 2003–04 UEFA Cup. In opposite, Varzim, Santa Clara and Vitória de Setúbal were relegated to the Segunda Liga. The 2009–10 Primeira Liga (also known as the Liga Sagres for sponsorship reasons) was the 76th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. It began on 16 August 2009 and ended on 9 May 2010. Benfica won their 32nd league title after a 2–1 home victory over Rio Ave on the last matchday. Benfica striker Óscar Cardozo was the top scorer with 26 goals. Changes from 2008–09 Team changes Trofense have been relegated to the Liga de Honra after finishing the 2008–09 season in 16th and last place. Trofense were to be accompanied by Belenenses, who finished in 15th place. Predrag Jokanović
Predrag Jokanović ( Serbian Cyrillic: Пpeдpaг Јокановић; born 26 October 1968) is a Serbian retired professional footballer, and is a manager. In his playing days, spent almost exclusively in Portugal – exactly ten years, nine of those in the Primeira Liga, where he amassed totals of 191 matches and 18 goals – he played mainly as a defensive midfielder (although he could occasionally appear as a central defender). After retiring in 2003, Jokanović took on a managerial career in the same country. The 2008–09 Primeira Liga was the 75th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. It began on 22 August 2008 and ended on 24 May 2009. Porto was the three-time defending champions and secured a fourth consecutive title for the second time in its history. Jorge Costa
Jorge Paulo Costa Almeida (born 14 October 1971) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a central defender, currently a manager. Nicknamed ''Bicho'' (animal) and ''Tanque'' (tank) by his colleagues and fans for his aggressive and physical playing style, he spent most of his professional career with Porto, being team captain for several seasons and winning a total of 24 major titles, notably eight Primeira Liga championships and the 2004 Champions League.
