Mandaue (), officially the City of Mandaue (; ), is a Cities of the Philippines#Legal classification, highly urbanized city in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 364,116 people. It is geographically located on the central-eastern coastal region of Cebu by Philippine Statistics Authority but administratively independent from the province. Its southeast coast borders Mactan Island where Lapu-Lapu City is located and is connected to the island via two bridges: the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge and Marcelo Fernan Bridge. Mandaue is bounded on the north by the town of Consolacion, Cebu, Consolacion, to the east by the Camotes Sea, and to the west and south by Cebu City. Emmarie Mabanag Ouano-Dizon (born April 1, 1970) is the incumbent congressional district representative from Cebu who represents Mandaue's Lone District in the 19th Congress of the Philippines. Jonas Cortes
Jonas Cabungcal Cortes (born July 20, 1966) is a Filipino politician serving as the Mayor of Mandaue since 2019, a position he previously held from 2007 to 2016. He previously served as representative of the sixth district of Cebu from 2016 to 2019. The National Shrine of Saint Joseph, commonly known as Mandaue Church, is a Roman Catholic parish church located at the center of Mandaue City, Philippines. The Mandaue City Hall, commonly referred to as Mandaue Presidencia, is admixture of the Neo-Grec and Art Deco stylistic movement building that serves as the seat of government for the city of Mandaue, Philippines. The Marcelo Fernan Bridge, also known as the Second Cebu–Mactan Bridge and locally as the Second Bridge, is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge located in Metro Cebu in the Philippines.
