Man Man
Man Man is an American experimental rock band from Philadelphia currently based in Los Angeles. Lead singer, songwriter, and lyricist Honus Honus (Ryan Kattner) is accompanied by a group of multi-instrumentalist musicians and vocalists. History Man Man released their debut, '' The Man in a Blue Turban with a Face'', in October 2004 on Ace Fu Records, but did not begin to tour extensively until the 2006 release of their second album, '' Six Demon Bag''. In 2007, the band opened for Modest Mouse on several U.S. tours, gaining them further public attention. Not long afterward, Nike aired a series of commercials starring Rainn Wilson with Man Man's "10 lb Mustache" as the background music. "10 lb Mustache", "Feathers", and "Engrish Bwudd" were featured in season 3, episode 8 of the TV show ''Weeds''. Six Demon Bag
''Six Demon Bag'' is the second album by experimental rock group Man Man, known mainly for their carnivalesque sound and well-received live shows. It received generally favorable reviews and calculated a score of 79 out of 100 on Metacritic based on 17 reviews. Honus Honus discussed the differences between this album and their first album: The album was placed on Obscure Sound's list of the best albums of 2006 at number 34 and Pitchfork Media, Pitchfork's list of the top 50 albums of 2006 at number 20. Pitchfork Media also listed the song "Van Helsing Boombox" as the 350th best song of the 2000s. A music video for "Engrish Bwudd" was directed by Lindsay Kovnat, and was featured on the Nicktoons Film Festival, Nicktoons Network Animation Festival in 2006. Meredith Music Festival (otherwise known simply as Meredith or MMF) is a three-day outdoor music festival held every December at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, a natural amphitheatre located on private farmland near the town of Meredith in Victoria, Australia. All Tomorrow's Parties (ATP) was a UK organisation based in London that promoted music festivals, concerts and records throughout the world for over 10 years. It was founded by Barry Hogan in 2001 in preparation for the first All Tomorrow's Parties Festival, the line-up of which was picked by Mogwai and took place at Pontins, Camber Sands, England. Timothy Sullivan, also known as Tim Fite, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, living and working in Brooklyn. His past releases have run the gamut from indie to alternative to country to hip hop. Life and career Fite was born and raised in rural New Jersey, where he developed a certain fascination with guns and social value systems that can be found in his music, art and the illustrated stories he also creates. Fite is known for using samples from long-forgotten records to amplify his mixed-genre approach to music.
