Mamiko Itō
MaMiKo is a Polish publisher located in Nowa Ruda, a medieval town. The town has a strong literary tradition, and hosts the “Góry Literatury” annually. MaMiKo was founded in 2000 by Apolonia Maliszewska. The name MaMiKo is a combination of the first two letters of Magda, Milena, and Kornel; which are the names of her children. Since 2000 over 300 books have been published by MaMiKo. The publishing house specializes in poetry and fiction. Nowa Ruda
Nowa Ruda (, ) is a town in south-western Poland near the Czech Republic, Czech border, lying on the Włodzica river in the central Sudetes mountain range. it had 22,067 inhabitants. Andriy Bondar
Andriy Volodymyrovych Bondar (; born 14 August 1974) is a Ukrainian poet, interpreter, opinion writer and a member of the National Writers' Union of Ukraine in 1998. He is the husband of Ukrainian writer Sofia Andrukhovych. Early life and education Born on 14 August 1974, in the Ukrainian city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. In 1991, Bondar received his diploma from Kamianets-Podilskyi High School No.9. Bohdan Zadura (born 18 February 1945 in Puławy) is a Polish poet, translator and literary critic. Biography Zadura debuted in 1962 in "Kamena". He was editor of the Lublin literary magazine ":pl:Akcent (czasopismo), Akcent", from 2004 editor of "Twórczość" / Warsaw. He is a translator of poetry from the English, Ukrainian and Hungarian. Nike Award
The Nike Literary Award (, pronounced ) is a literary prize awarded each year for the best book of a single living author writing in Polish and published the previous year. It is widely considered the most important award for Polish literature. Established in 1997 and funded by '' Gazeta Wyborcza'', Poland's second largest daily paper, and the consulting company NICOM, it is conferred annually in October. It is open for nominees from all literary genres, including non-fiction essays and autobiographies. Each year, a nine-member jury selects the laureate in a three-stage process. Twenty official nominees are accepted in May, out of which seven finalists are declared in September. The final decision does not take place until the day of the award ceremony in October. Witold Gombrowicz
Witold Marian Gombrowicz (August 4, 1904 – July 24, 1969) was a Polish writer and playwright. His works are characterised by deep psychological analysis, a certain sense of paradox and absurd, anti-nationalism, anti-nationalist flavor.
