''Majstori, majstori'' (, translated as ''All That Jack's'') is a 1980 Yugoslavia, Yugoslav comedy film directed by Goran Marković (film director), Goran Marković. It has since become a classic of Serbian cinema. It was digitally restored for its 40th anniversary in a joint effort by the Yugoslav Film Archive and A1 Srbija, Vip mobile. The film is named after the first verse of the poem ''Handymen in the House'' by writer Aleksandar Sekulić (writer), Aleksandar Sekulić, which is recited in one of the final scenes by a drunken teacher played by Aleksandar Berček. Plot The film follows the events and complicated relationships in an elementary school in Belgrade, and the seemingly central event is the retirement ceremony of the long-time cleaner Keva. Goran Marković (film Director)
Goran Marković ( sr-Cyrl, Горан Марковић, ) (born 24 August 1946) is a Serbian film and theatre director, screenwriter, writer, and playwright. He has directed approximately 50 documentaries, 13 feature films, and 3 theatre plays. He has also written five books. Marković is one of the few directors from the former Yugoslavia credited with popularizing Yugoslav films, as well as achieving success domestically and internationally. Career Marković was born in Belgrade to Rade and Olivera Marković, both established Serbian actors. He finished 5th Belgrade Gymnasium prior to attending FAMU at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The Yugoslav Film Archive () is a film archive located in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Founded in 1949, it was the national film library of the Yugoslavia and currently of Serbia. The main cinema operated by the Yugoslav Film Archive is named after Dušan Makavejev. History The Yugoslav Film Archive was founded by the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia's Committee for Cinema in 1949. During the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia the archive's collection was under threat, however, it was successfully saved.
