According to the 2008 census it has a population of 24,577, up from 20,102 in 1998, with an annual growth rate of 2.1%. Climate Magrane has a hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification ''BWh''), with very hot summers and mild winters. Rainfall is light and sporadic, and summers are particularly dry. Education 3.9% of the population has a tertiary education, and another 11.1% has completed secondary education. The overall literacy rate is 77.8%, and is 84.2% among males and 70.9% among females. Ben Guecha () is a town and commune in Taleb Larbi District, El Oued Province, Algeria. According to the 2008 census it has a population of 2,513, up from 1,036 in 1998, with an annual growth rate of 9.5%, the highest in the province. Transportation The town of Ben Guecha lies in the isolated far north-eastern corner of El Oued Province. A local road leads to the N16 which connects El Oued to Tebessa. Hamraia
Hamraia () is a town and commune in Reguiba District, El Oued Province, Algeria. According to the 2008 census it has a population of 5,172, up from 3,938 in 1998, with an annual growth rate of 2.8%. Geography Hamraia is near Chott Melrhir, a large endorheic salt lake that lies to the north of the town. The lake and its surrounds, including the town of Hamraia, lie below sea level. Another salt lake, Chott Felrhir, lies to the southwest of Hamraia. Climate Hamraia has a hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification ''BWh''), with very hot summers and mild winters, and very little precipitation throughout the year. Biskra () is the capital city of Biskra Province, Algeria. In 2007, its population was recorded as 307,987. Biskra is located in northeastern Algeria, about from Algiers, southwest of Batna, Algeria, Batna and north of Touggourt. El Oued
El Oued (), Souf or Oued Souf is a city, and the capital of El Oued Province, in Algeria. The oasis town is watered by an underground river, hence its name is El Oued which enables date palm cultivation and the rare use (for the desert) of brick construction for housing.
