Magnus Rognan Midtbø (born 18 September 1988) is a norwegians, Norwegian rock climbing, rock climber, competition climber, and YouTube Vlog, video blogger. He was born in Bergen, Norway. He retired from competition climbing in 2017. Climbing career Rock climbing Midtbø started climbing in 2000 at 12 years of age after his mother enrolled him in a class. 2013 World Games
The 2013 World Games (), the ninth World Games, were an international multi-sport event held in the city of Cali, Colombia, from July 25 to August 4. It is the first edition of the World Games to be held in South America. Host city allocation history The 2013 World Games were initially allocated to the German cities of Duisburg and Düsseldorf. However, at the end of 2008, Duisburg withdrew and Düsseldorf dropped out because both cities could not secure enough funding, partly as a result of the 2008 financial crisis and the subsequent Great Recession. Two alternate cities came forward to the IWGA to bid for these Games: Pretoria, South Africa and Cali, Colombia. Alex Honnold (born August 17, 1985) is an American rock climber best known for his Free solo climbing, free solo ascents of Big wall climbing, big walls. Honnold rose to worldwide fame in June 2017 when he became the first person to free solo a full route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park (via the 2,900-foot route ''Freerider (climb), Freerider'' at Grade (climbing)#American YDS grade, 5.13a, the List of grade milestones in rock climbing#Free-soloed, first-ever big wall free solo ascent at that grade), a climb described in ''The New York Times'' as "one of the great athletic feats of any kind, ever." Free Solo Climbing
