Magic! (stylized in all uppercase) is a Canadian reggae fusion band from Toronto. Based in Los Angeles, the band comprises lead vocalist, guitarist/producer Nasri Atweh, guitarist/keyboardist Mark "Pelli" Pellizzer, and bassist Ben Spivak. Active since 2012, the band is signed with Latium, Sony, and RCA Records, releasing their debut studio album ''Don't Kill the Magic'' in 2014, their second studio album ''Primary Colours'' in 2016, and their third studio album ''Expectations'' in 2018. They are best known for their hit single "Rude", which charted at No. 1 in several countries worldwide, including the US and UK. Reggae Fusion

''Primary Colours'' is the second full-length studio album by Canadian reggae fusion band MAGIC! The album was released on July 1, 2016, through Latium and RCA Records worldwide. It serves as the follow-up to the band's debut studio album, '' Don't Kill the Magic'' (2014). The album was led by the single " Lay You Down Easy", featuring Sean Paul. Background The group released their debut single " Rude" in late 2013, eventually achieving commercial success worldwide, reaching atop the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for six consecutive weeks. Staggered Crossing, sometimes nicknamed StagX, were a Canadian rock band formed in 1996 in Toronto. History Early years The original group was formed in 1996 (according to some sources about 1997) in Toronto by four high school friends, Julian Taylor (JT), David E.G. Marshall, Dan Black and Jeremy Elliott. The group quickly gained a local following in North Toronto due to their frequent performances. Later in 1996 they recorded their first EP with Toronto musician and producer, Darrell O'Dea In 1997 David Marshall quit the group because he had entered the University of Montreal. The Police
The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. Adam Messinger
Adam "Messy" Messinger is a Grammy Award-winning Canadian-born record producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. He is a producer for Canadian reggae band Magic!, but was initially a producer/songwriter as a member of the production duo The Messengers—both along with Nasri Atweh—earning credits on a multitude of successful singles and albums. Career Born in Toronto, Messinger started playing the piano at age five, and proceeded to develop skills for a variety of instruments, including sax, bass, guitar, and drums/percussion. Reggae
Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica during the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its Jamaican diaspora, diaspora. A 1968 single by Toots and the Maytals, "Do the Reggay", was the first popular song to use the word ''reggae'', effectively naming the genre and introducing it to a global audience. Reggae is rooted in traditional Jamaican Kumina, Pukkumina, Revival Zion, Nyabinghi, and burru drumming. Jamaican reggae music evolved out of the earlier genres mento, ska and rocksteady.
