Magenta (DC Comics)
Magenta (Frances Kane) is a fictional character in the DC Comics' series Teen Titans. She is a former hero turned villain. The character first appeared in ''The New Teen Titans'' #17 (March 1982) as Frances Kane, and debuted as Magenta five years later in ''Teen Titans Spotlight'' #16 (Nov 1987). An early concept design for Magenta by George Pérez appeared in ''DC Sampler'' #2. The character's initial name was Polara and her color scheme consisted of red and blue rather than magenta and white. Magenta made her live-action debut in the third season of ''The Flash'', portrayed by Joey King. Fictional character biography Frances Kane is Wally West's girlfriend during his time as Kid Flash. After developing magnetic abilities, she becomes a superhero, but falters under the pressure of the job and breaks up with Wally. Howard Porter (artist)
Howard Porter is an American comic book artist from southern Connecticut. Education Howard Porter graduated from Paier College of Art in Connecticut where he majored in illustration. One of his teachers there was Frank McLaughlin (artist), Frank McLaughlin. McLaughlin also worked as a comic book inker and he began to give Porter work assisting him in his inking jobs which led Porter to assist other inkers and eventually find work for himself in the industry. Biography Porter worked as a penciller and his first major run on a title came with DC Comics' ''Ray (Ray Terrill), The Ray'' (vol. 2) (1994–1995), where he worked with writer Christopher Priest (comic book writer), Christopher Priest. DC Rebirth
DC Rebirth is a 2016 relaunch by the American comic book publisher DC Comics of its entire Line (comics), line of ongoing monthly superhero comic book titles. Using the end of The New 52 (2011–2016) initiative in May 2016 as its launching point, DC Rebirth restored the DC Universe to a form much like that prior to the 2011 "Flashpoint (comics), Flashpoint" storyline while still incorporating numerous elements of The New 52, including its continuity. It also saw many of its titles move to a twice-monthly release schedule, along with being released at . In the DC Universe, a metahuman is a human with superpowers. The term is roughly synonymous with the terms '' mutant'', '' inhuman'' and '' mutate'' in the Marvel Universe and '' posthuman'' in the Wildstorm and Ultimate Marvel Universes. "Flashpoint" is a 2011 comic book crossover story arc published by DC Comics. Consisting of an eponymous core limited series and a number of tie-in titles, the storyline premiered in May 2011. The core miniseries was written by Geoff Johns and pencilled by Andy Kubert. In its end, the series radically changes the status quo for the DC Universe, leading into the publisher's 2011 relaunch, The New 52.
