M Badiuzzaman
M Badiuzzaman is a former chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission in Bangladesh. Career Badiuzzaman joined the then East Pakistan Civil Service in 1968. He served in various districts of the country as a Magistrate, SDO (Sub-Divisional Officer), Additional District Administrator, and District Administrator. He also held several important responsibilities in the government as Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Additional Secretary. In this regard, he served as Director General of the Prime Minister's Office (twice) and as Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. He retired from government service in 2001 upon reaching the regular retirement age. Badiuzzaman was the chairman of Mirpur Unnayan Parishad. He supported Syed Mohammad Ibrahim launching the Bangladesh Kallyan Party. Badiuzzaman was appointed chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission on 24 June 2013. He replaced Ghulam Rahman. The Anti Corruption Commission (; ''often abbreviated:'' ACC, ) is the principal Government of Bangladesh, government agency against corruption in Bangladesh. History The Anti-Corruption Commission was formed through an act promulgated on 23 February 2004 that came into force on 9 May 2004. Although initially, it could not make the desired impact, immediately following its reconstitution in February 2007, the ACC began working with renewed vigor and impetus duly acceding to the United Nations Convention against corruption that was adopted by the General Assembly away back on 31 October 2003. Syed Muhammad Ibrahim is a Bangladeshi politician and retired Major General of the Bangladesh Army. He is a briefly served as member of Jatiya Sangsad representing the Cox's Bazar-1 constituency. He is the founder of Bangladesh Kalyan Party. He was awarded Bir Protik, the fourth highest gallantry award for military personnel in Bangladesh for his bravery during the Bangladesh Liberation war. Career Ibrahim joined the Pakistan Military Academy in January 1970 and he was the fourth Bengali who was awarded by highest gallantry award sword of honour and commissioned in the East Bengal Regiment of Pakistan Army's Infantry Corps.
