MS Stena Estrid
The ''Stena Estrid'' is a passenger and vehicle 'Ro-Pax' ferry which sails for Stena Line on its Holyhead–Dublin route. She is the first ferry in the E-Flexer class, and was delivered to the company on 15 November 2019. She made her maiden commercial crossing between Holyhead and Dublin on 13 January 2020. This maiden voyage was delayed by approximately two hours due to adverse weather conditions with the new vessel sailing through Storm Brendan to arrive at Dublin later than scheduled. ''Stena Estrid'' has capacity for 1,000 passengers (and crew) and up to 3,100 lane metres of freight and 120 passenger cars. E-Flexer-class Ferry
The E-Flexer is a class of Chinese-built Ro-Pax ferries ordered by Stena RoRo for European line service. There are twelve vessels that have been built; they are operated by Stena Line, Brittany Ferries, DFDS Seaways and Marine Atlantic. There are three vessels on order and upon delivery, they will be operated by Corsica Linea and Attica Group. Stena Line took five vessels of the class, Brittany Ferries five (four powered by LNG, two of which are also hybrid electric), and a single vessel each to DFDS and Marine Atlantic, of which the latter's vessel is also hybrid electric. 2019–20 European Windstorm Season
The 2019–20 European windstorm season was the fifth instance of seasonal European windstorm naming in Europe. This is the first season in which the Netherlands meteorological authority took part, joining those of Ireland and the United Kingdom. It comprised a year from 1 September to 31 August, however names were announced six days into that year. The Portuguese, Spanish and French meteorological agencies again collaborated too, joined by the Belgian meteorological agency. Background and naming In 2015, the Met Office and Met Éireann conducted or promoted the "Name our Storms" project for wind storms, going to the public for the suggestions. The meteorological offices produced a full list of names for 2015–16 through to 2017–18, common to both the UK and Ireland, with the Netherlands taking part from 2019 onwards.
