MGM Grand Garden Arena
The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a 17,000-seat multi-purpose arena within the MGM Grand Las Vegas, MGM Grand resort, located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The venue opened on December 31, 1993, with a concert by Barbra Streisand, and subsequent concerts by Luther Vandross, Anita Mui and Janet Jackson. Sporting events MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Thomas & Mack Center and the Michelob Ultra Arena, Mandalay Bay Events Center were the main sports arenas in the Las Vegas Valley until 2016, when the MGM co-owned T-Mobile Arena opened. Professional wrestling From 1996 to 2000, it hosted World Championship Wrestling's Halloween Havoc events. The Universal Wrestling Federation (Herb Abrams), UWF television event UWF Blackjack Brawl, Blackjack Brawl was held at the venue in 1994. The 2020 Double or Nothing was the second annual Double or Nothing professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place during Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 23, 2020, in Jacksonville, Florida. While the majority of the event aired live from Daily's Place, the main event match was pre-recorded from May 22–23 at the nearby TIAA Bank Field. It was the first event to feature the AEW TNT Championship. The event aired through traditional PPV outlets, as well as on B/R Live in North America and FITE TV internationally.
