MC Mong
Shin Dong-hyun (; born September 4, 1979), better known by his stage name MC Mong, is a South Korean hip hop recording artist, record producer, radio personality, actor and television personality who is known for his comic disposition and his upbeat songs. He is one of the most commercially successful hip hop artists in Korea. He gained popularity in the early 2000s as an actor on the sitcom, '' Nonstop'', before releasing his debut album, '' 180 Degree'', in 2004. He was also a cast member of the variety show, ''2 Days & 1 Night'' from 2007 to 2010. He was charged in 2010 with draft dodging, after which he was banned from appearing on major Korean broadcast networks. Park Eun-hye (; born November 7, 1982), better known by the stage name Ivy (), is a South Korean singer and musical actress. Career 2005: Debut A former JYP Entertainment, JYPE trainee, Ivy first appeared in Lee Soo Young's music video "Holding onto the Flowers" in 2005. She officially debuted as a singer in 2005 with the single "What Happened Tonight" (). Her official second single "A ha" was an uptempo R&B single whose dance routine was famously parodied by Park Kyung-lim on ''X-Man (TV series), X-Man''. Conscription In South Korea
Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may voluntarily join the military. Establishment The basis for military conscription in South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which was promulgated on 17 July 1948. The constitution states in Article 39, "All citizens shall have the duty of national defense under the conditions as prescribed by Act."
