Lucas François Bernard Hernandez (; born 14 February 1996) is a French professional footballer who plays as a left back or centre back for club Bayern Munich and the France national team. Considered one of the best defenders in the world, Hernandez is known for his versatility and defensive prowess. Hernandez started his career with Atlético Madrid where he made more than 100 competitive appearances, reaching the 2016 UEFA Champions League Final. He also won the 2018 Europa League and the Super Cup in the same year. He signed for Bayern in 2019, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League in his first season as part of a treble. Jean-François Hernandez (born 23 April 1969) is a French former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Tours of Spanish descent, Hernandez played for Toulouse FC, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and Olympique de Marseille in his own country, amassing Ligue 1 totals of 177 games and three goals in representation of the first two clubs. In the 1995–96 season, he helped the third to promote from Ligue 2 as runners-up. Hernandez moved to Spain in January 1998, where he spent the remainder of his career. He started out at SD Compostela, making his La Liga debut on the 4th by coming on as a 14th-minute substitute in a 1–1 away draw against Real Oviedo; the Galicians went on to suffer relegation. The 2019–20 DFB-Pokal was the 77th season of the annual German football cup competition. Sixty-four teams participated in the competition, including all teams from the previous year's Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. The competition began on 9 August 2019 with the first of six rounds and ended on 4 July 2020 with the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, a nominally neutral venue, which has hosted the final since 1985. The 2019–20 Bundesliga was the 57th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football competition. It began on 16 August 2019 and concluded on 27 June 2020.
