Los Altos Hills (; ''Los Altos'', Spanish language, Spanish for "The Heights") is an List of municipalities in California, incorporated town in Santa Clara County, California, Santa Clara County, California, United States. The population was 8,489 at the 2020 census. The town is known for its affluence and expensive residential real estate. Geography Los Altos Hills is located at (37.371390, -122.137605). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all of it land. The town is located in a group of small hills. Both the Altamont and Monta Vista Faults pass through the town. Los Altos Hills maintains a rural feel, similar to the likes of neighboring Woodside and Portola Valley (see: Strictly Residential). Rancho San Antonio County Park and Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve are a conjoined public recreational area in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in the northwest quadrant of Santa Clara County, California. The County Park is bordered by Los Altos with some parts of the eastern part of the County Park in western Cupertino. Most of the city's growth occurred between 1950 and 1980.
