Lone Dybkjær
Lone Dybkjær (23 May 1940 – 20 July 2020) was a Denmark, Danish politician. She served three non-consecutive terms as a member of the Folketing. Between 1988 to 1990, she was Minister for the Environment (Denmark), Minister for the Environment of Denmark during the second Poul Schlüter cabinet. Between 1994 to 2004, she was a member of the European Parliament. Political career She was a member of the Radikale Venstre, a Danish party in the middle of the political spectrum. She was a member of the European Parliament for the party from 1994-2004 and also a member of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget), where she served as minister of Environment during the Cabinet of Poul Schlüter. She was a member of the eminent international Council of Patrons of the Asian University for Women (AUW) in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was Landstinget. It meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. The Folketing passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets and approving the state's accounts. As set out in the Constitution of Denmark, the Folketing shares power with the reigning monarch.
