Lois Ramsay
Lois June Ramsey (; 18 June 1922 – 22 January 2016) also billed as Lois Ramsay, was an Australian actress, best known for her regular roles on television series '' The Box'' and ''Prisoner'' as two different characters. As a character actress of both drama and comic roles in numerous serials, she often played quirky, eccentric old ladies on television soap operas. Career The Box and Prisoner She was a major cast member of the 1970s soap opera ''The Box'' as tea lady Mrs. Hopkins, appearing for the entire run of the serial. She also had 2 prominent stints in ''Prisoner''—firstly as dotty social worker Agnes Forster in 1980 in 1985 as an elderly inmate Ettie Parslow, who thought that the Second World War was still going on. ''Boystown'' ( es, Chuecatown, links=no) is a 2007 Spanish comedy film directed by from a screenplay by Flahn, Félix Sabroso and Dunia Ayaso. Synopsis The plot focuses on the neighborhood of Chueca that is located in Madrid. Victor, an owner of a real-estate company, wants to have a monopoly over all the apartments in Chueca, in order to turn it into the Madrid version of the Castro district in San Francisco, but the apartments are owned by senior citizens that do not want to sell to him. Víctor decides to take matters into his own hands and murder anyone that stands in his way. Everything is going Víctor's way until Rey and Luis, a gay couple, inherit the apartment of Víctor's latest victim. ''Rafferty's Rules'' is an Australian television drama series which ran from 1987 to 1991 on the Seven Network. The producers of the series were Posie Graeme-Evans (1987–1988), and Denis Phelen. The directors were Graham Thorburn, Mike Smith and Russell Webb. The writers were David Allen, John Upton, Tim Gooding and David Marsh. ''Rafferty's Rules'' was one of the first programs undertaken by the Seven Network's then new in-house drama unit, going into production in May 1985 as "a 15-part courtroom drama". The program had started out as a pilot episode, recorded in early 1984 with the actor Chris Haywood in the lead role. When the pilot episode was remounted later in 1984, Chris Haywood wasn't available and the lead role was re-cast to John Wood. This second recording was eventually broadcast as the program's first episode.
