List of governors of states of Venezuela. Governors in Venezuela are in charge of the government and administration of each State. A Governor must be a Venezuelan over the age of 25 who is not a member of the clergy. The Governor can be elected for a term of four years by a majority vote. The Governor can be re-elected to an additional term only immediately and only once. Governors give a yearly public accounting to the State Comptroller for their office, and submit a report on the same to the Legislative Council and the Public Policy Planning and Coordination Council. In each state exists a Public Policy Planning and Coordination Council, chaired by the Governor with members from the mayors, the state directors of the various ministries and representatives of the legislators elected by the State to the National Assembly, as well as representatives from the Legislative Council, the municipal councils and organized communities, including native communities where they exist. Apure In Venezuela
Apure State ( es, Estado Apure, ) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Its territory formed part of the provinces of Mérida, Maracaibo, and Barinas, in accordance with successive territorial ordinations pronounced by the colonial authorities. In 1824 the Department of Apure was created, under jurisdiction of Barinas, which laid the foundations for the current entity. In 1856 it separated from Barinas and for the first time Apure appeared as an independent province, which in 1864 acquired the status of state. In 1881, however, a new territorial division combined Apure and Guayana to form a single state named ''Bolívar.'' In 1899 it reestablished its autonomy and finally, by means of the Constitution of 1909, gained its current borders. The territory was famous for heron plumes, which adorned European courts. Eduardo Piñate
Eduardo Piñate (born 6 September, 1956 in San Fernando de Apure, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan teacher, historian and politician. He was appointed Minister of Education (MPPE) and sector vice president for the Social and Territorial Socialism of Venezuela. He was appointed into office on May 2, 2021 by President Nicolas Maduro. He has held other positions as Minister of People's Power for the Social Process of Work and elected as a Deputy of the National Assembly of Venezuela in the 2010 parliamentary elections. He was a member of the Socialist League of Venezuela before its merger in 2007 with United Socialist Party of Venezuela. Pinate is the founder of Units of Battle Hugo Chávez.
