2018 Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Election
The 2018 Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional election took place on 29 April 2018, to elect the President and the Regional council of the Italian autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The election saw a large victory of the centre-right candidate, Massimiliano Fedriga, with more than 57% of votes and a great showing of the League, followed by the centre-left candidate Sergio Bolzonello, who arrived second with almost 27% of votes, and the Five Star one, who gained less than 12% of votes. Massimiliano Fedriga (born 2 July 1980 in Verona) is an Italian Northern League politician. He is the president of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia autonomous region. Biography Born in Verona on 2 July 1980 and raised in Trieste, Fedriga graduated in Communication Sciences at the University of Trieste. After graduating, he obtained a master's degree in communication management and analysis. He joined the Northern League in 1995. Subsequently, he became a member of the "National Council", the decision-making body of the party in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and then of the Federal Council. Since 2003 he has been provincial secretary of the League, while on 28 September 2014 he was elected national secretary of the party of Friuli Venezia Giulia. He was elected MP for the first time in 2008; he was then re-elected in 2013 and 2018. In 2011 Fedriga was candidate for mayor of Trieste, but obtained only 6.3% of the votes. The 2013 Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional election took place on 21–22 April 2013 in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Debora Serracchiani, Socialist MEP and regional leader of the Democratic Party (PD), narrowly defeated incumbent Renzo Tondo of The People of Freedom (PdL) 39.4% to 39.0%; Saverio Galluccio of the Five Star Movement (M5S) came third with 19.2% of the vote. Serracchiani was the second woman to hold the office of President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, after Alessandra Guerra of the Northern League (LN) in 1994–1995. The turnout was a record low as a mere 50.5% of eligible voters turned out to vote. In the election, the PD was the most voted list with 26.8% (resulting in 20 seats, including Serracchiani's), but the combined result of the PdL and its sister-list Responsible Autonomy (comprising PdL members, centre-right independents and the Friulian Autonomist Movement) was 30.7% (resulting in a total of 13 seats including Tondo's). Debora Serracchiani (born 10 November 1970) is an Italian politician. Born in Rome, she is a member of Democratic Party, and was president of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In 2016, she proposed and got the approval of a regional law which officially abolished provinces of the Friuli Venezia Giulia, moving their competences to the lower and the upper administrative level, which were respectively the Italian ''comune'' and the ''region''. Friuli Venezia Giulia was the first region to implement the 2014 Delrio national law. Serracchiani served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) of the European Parliament from 2008-13 as a member of the PD. She was also a member of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, an alliance within the European Parliament. Debora Racing cars is a small French car builder, popular with private racing teams, based in Besançon, France. Teams generally use their chassis to take part in Le Mans style endurance racing such as Magny Cours, Jarama and le Mans. Drivers also tend to be French with Bruno Boccard and David Dusseau being two of the more famous. Debora use an LMP Le Mans Prototype type 1 body shell over a mid-engined chassis with open driving seat in the bodywork. Their Type 2 LMP with closed bodywork owes much to the Courage and is a truly beautiful piece of engineering. Engines have been known to come from a 3-litre BMW and a 2-litre Ford Cosworth Turbo on the Jarama racetrack 1997. The People of Freedom ( it, Il Popolo della Libertà, PdL) was a centre-right political party in Italy.
