Djebel Fellaoucen

Djebel (1937–1958) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse, who won 15 of 22 races during 1939–1942 including the Prix d'Essai, 2000 Guineas and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. He was later a leading sire in France and is responsible for the survival of the Byerley Turk sire line into the 21st century. Breeding Djebel was a bay stallion owned and bred by renowned horseman Marcel Boussac. He was sired by Tourbillon, who had won the French Derby and the Prix Lupin, and went on to become a notable sire. Djebel's dam, Loika, was a minor winner by Gay Crusader and out of Coeur a Coeur. Gay Crusader was the 1917 U.K. Triple Crown winner, and by the influential Bayardo. Coeur a Coeur was by Teddy, whose grandsire was the 1899 English Triple Crown champion Flying Fox. The Djurdjura or Jurjura Range ( ar, جبال جرجرة, ''Jabal Jurjura''; Berber ''Adrar n Jerjer'') is a mountain range of the Tell Atlas, part of the Atlas Mountain System. It is located in Kabylie, Algeria. Geography The Djurdjura is a massif made up of two differentiated ranges, one in the north with the Haïzer and Akouker subranges and the other in the south. Its highest point, Lalla Khedidja known in Kabylian as ''Tamgut Aâlayen'', has an elevation of and it is located in the southern range. Ouarsenis Range
The Ouarsenis or Ouanchariss (Berber language: ⵡⴰⵔⵙⵏⵉⵙ, ''Warsnis'' (meaning "nothing higher") ''Adrar en Warsnis'', ar, الونشريس) is a mountain range and inhabited region in northwestern Algeria. Geography The range is located at about 80 km south of the Mediterranean, between the basin of the Chelif River in the north and in the east, the Oued Mina in the west and the Sersou plateau in the south. It reaches its maximum elevation of 1,985 m at the Mount Sidi Amar, near Bordj Bounaama at about 60 km west of Tissemsilt. Amour Range
The Amour Range ( ar, جبل العمور, french: Djebel Amour) is a mountain range in Algeria, which comprises part of the Saharan Atlas of the Atlas Mountain System. Geography The Amour Range is located in the central area of the Saharan Atlas, with the Ksour Range in the western end and the Ouled-Naïl Range in the eastern end. The town of Aflou, one of the highest municipalities in Algeria and also one of the coldest, is located in the range at an elevation of 1,426 m. There are about 35,000 people living in the area of the Amour Range. In Taouïala (تاوياله), located 35 km to the southeast of Aflou, there is an ecotouristic village. Peaks The mountains of the Amour Range have altitudes averaging between 1,400 and 2000 m. The highest summit of the range is Djebel Ksel, which sits at an elevation of 2,008 m. Teffedest Mountains
The Teffedest Mountains are a mountain range in southern Algeria. They are part of the Hoggar Mountains (Ahaggar Mountains), located in the Sahara. Geography The Teffedest Range is about 120 km long in a north-south direction. Unlike the rest of the Hoggar Mountains, which are composed mainly of dark volcanic rock, the Teffedest is composed of pale granite. There are ancient cave paintings on some rock walls of the range. Dunes are rare in the area of this range. The highest point of the Teffedest is the In Akoulmou. The impressive Garet el Djenoun, located at the northern end of the range, is one of the most conspicuous peaks of the range.
