List Of Dream Champions
This is a list of champions in the Dream organization at each weight class. Dream was a Japanese mixed martial arts organization, originally promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group, and over management of Glory Sports International since October 2012. The first two champions were crowned after the 2008 Lightweight and Middleweight Grand Prix, while the 2009 Welterweight and Featherweight GPs have crowned the champions at those weights. The 2010 Light Heavyweight Grand Prix crowned the first Dream Light Heavyweight Champion at Dream 16. The 2011 World Bantamweight Grand Prix crowned the first ever Dream Bantamweight Champion at Dynamite!!! 2011. Dynamite!! 2010
''Dynamite!! 2010'' was a mixed martial arts and kickboxing event in the annual New Year's Eve event promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group that took place on December 31, 2010 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event included bouts that encompass the DREAM, K-1 and K-1 World MAX banners. Just as the previous '' Dynamite!! 2009'', with the official commentator Nozomi Sasaki, the event aired on TBS in Japan and HDNet in North America. __TOC__ Background FEG president Tanikawa had stated that the company planned on holding an event together with Sengoku Raiden Championship and this event may have a similar DREAM vs SRC format as Dynamite!! 2009. Dream 13
''Dream 13'' was a mixed martial arts event held by Fighting and Entertainment Group's mixed martial arts promotion Dream. The event took place on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan. The event aired live in North America on HDNet. Background This event marked the beginning of co-promotion between DREAM and US organization Strikeforce. The event would also mark the return of K. J. Noons to Mixed Martial Arts in his first fight since 2008. While not officially announced, Tim Sylvia was planning on participating in this event. However, Dream officials allegedly tried to change his opponent roughly two weeks before the bout was planned to take place. Dream 16
''Dream 16'' was a mixed martial arts event held by Fighting and Entertainment Group's mixed martial arts promotion Dream. The event took place on September 25, 2010, in Nagoya, Japan. The event aired live in North America on HDNet. Background This event served as the final for Dream's Light Heavyweight Grand Prix and crowned the first Dream Light Heavyweight Champion. Gegard Mousasi and Tatsuya Mizuno who won their opening round bouts at Dream 15 fought for the title. A previously announced featherweight bout with Joe Warren fighting Michihiro Omigawa has been scrapped from this card. Ikuhisa Minowa was previously reported to be fighting James Thompson, but instead fought Judo Olympic Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishii. Dream (styled DREAM in capitals) was a Japanese mixed martial arts (MMA) organization promoted by former PRIDE FC executives and K-1 promoter Fighting and Entertainment Group. Dream replaced FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, Hero's. The series retained many of the stylistic flourishes and personnel from Pride FC broadcasts, including fight introducer Lenne Hardt. In America, the promotion was aired on HDNet. Jason Nicholas Miller (born December 24, 1980) best known as Mayhem Miller is an American mixed martial arts fighter and TV host. Miller coaches fighters in Irvine, California at Mayhem Martial Arts and has trained extensively with Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, California. He has fought in the UFC, Strikeforce, WFA, WEC and DREAM. Miller was the host of MTV's reality series ''Bully Beatdown''. Early life Miller was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and he grew up in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Miller's father was a paratrooper in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division. After Miller was expelled from high school for fighting, he and his family had to move 40 miles so that he could go to school in a new district. Miller knew he wanted to compete professionally. Satoru Kitaoka
, is a Japanese shoot wrestler and mixed martial artist who most recently competed for RIZIN. A professional competitor since 2000, he has also competed for DREAM, Pancrase, DEEP, and World Victory Road. Kitaoka is renowned for his catch wrestling abilities which he learned studying under two of Japan's most respected catch wrestlers Masakatsu Funaki and Minoru Suzuki. The event took place on July 10, 2010 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event aired live in North America on HDNet. Tatsuya Kawajiri
is a Japanese mixed martial artist who competes in the Bantamweight division. He is a former Shooto Lightweight Champion, and has also competed in the UFC, PRIDE, DREAM, Strikeforce, ONE FC, and Rizin Fighting Federation. Kawajiri also participated in the Yarennoka! event as well as Dynamite!! 2009 and Dynamite!! 2010, representing DREAM in both events. Joachim Hansen (fighter)
Joachim B. Hansen (born 26 May 1979) is a Norwegian retired mixed martial artist. He began his career fighting for FinnFight before moving on to fight for Shooto where he became the first Scandinavian person to hold an MMA world title after winning the Shooto World Lightweight Championship in 2003 from Takanori Gomi. Hansen later fought for the Pride Fighting Championship and most recently Dream where he became the Dream Lightweight Champion.
