Limmy
Brian Limond (born 20 October 1974), known as Limmy, is a Scottish comedian, author, and Twitch (service), Twitch Online streamer, streamer. While working as a website designer and Adobe Flash, Flash developer, Limmy began releasing comedy on his website and blog, Limmy.com, which contained various Flash-based projects. In late 2006, he released a daily podcast called ''Limmy's World of Glasgow'', which received interest from the mainstream British media. After continuing his comedy work for several years, Limmy was commissioned by BBC Scotland to create a sketch show, ''Limmy's Show''. It ran for three series and a Christmas special between 2010 and 2013, and won two BAFTA Scotland awards. Limmy returned to BBC Scotland with another sketch comedy show, ''Limmy's Homemade Show'', with a one-off episode in 2018 and a full series in 2020. ''Limmy's Show!'' is a Scottish surreal comedy sketch show broadcast on BBC Two Scotland, written, directed and based on the 2006 podcast Limmy's World of Glasgow by Brian "Limmy" Limond, who stars as himself and a variety of characters in a series of observational, surreal, dark and bizarre sketches. Limmy frequently breaks the fourth wall by directly talking to viewers through the camera. The show stars Brian Limond, Paul McCole, Alan McHugh, Kirstin McLean and Ryan Fletcher. ''Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast'' (or ''RHLSTP'' ()) and ''Richard Herring's Edinburgh Fringe Podcast'' are two related comedy podcasts, created and hosted by British comedian Richard Herring. Carnwadric
Carnwadric is a residential area of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated south of the River Clyde, and is bordered by a park to the north (King George V Park, on the other side of which is the Kennishead neighbourhood), the Arden housing estate to the west, by the village of Thornliebank (East Renfrewshire) to the south and by the Auldhouse Burn to the east. It is the most recent addition to Brooker's ''Wipe'' series, and the first to be broadcast in HD. Glasgow Patter
The Glasgow dialect, popularly known as the Glasgow patter or Glaswegian, varies from Scottish English at one end of a bipolar linguistic continuum to the local dialect of West Central Scots at the other. Therefore, the speech of many Glaswegians can draw on a "continuum between fully localised and fully standardised". Additionally, the Glasgow dialect has Highland English and Hiberno-English influences owing to the speech of Highlanders and Irish people who migrated in large numbers to the Glasgow area in the 19th and early 20th centuries. While being named for Glasgow, the accent is typical for natives across the full Greater Glasgow area and associated counties such as Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire and parts of Ayrshire, which formerly came under the single authority of Strathclyde. ''Consolevania'' is a video games TV show filmed in and around Glasgow, Scotland. It is notable as one of very few online TV shows to make the leap onto broadcast TV as the show ''videoGaiden'', which has had four series shown on BBC Scotland. The name ''Consolevania'' is a reference to Konami's long-running horror-adventure game series '' Castlevania'' and was chosen by Rllmuk forum members before the first episode was shot. Fittingly, the first game reviewed on the show was '' Castlevania: Lament of Innocence''. The first episode was filmed in early 2004 and initially distributed on CDs posted out by the team. An online streamer or live streamer is a person who broadcasts themselves online through a live stream to an audience. History Streaming arose in the early 2010s, originating on sites like YouTube where users could upload videos of themselves in the form of vlogs or Let's Plays. While not all content featured a live audience, users were still able to gain a sizable following and make a living off of their content. Other sites like Twitch increased this popularity. Due to the millions of dollars that streamers can make, streaming has become a much-yearned-for career option.
