Legislative Assembly Of Mexico City
The Mexico City Congress ( es, Congreso de la Ciudad de México, ALCDMX) is the legislative branch of government of Mexico City. Between 1988 and 1993, it was known as the Assembly of Representatives of the Federal District ( es, Asamblea de Representantes del Distrito Federal), during which period it had reduced powers with respect to the current body. Composition The Legislative Assembly consists of 66 deputies, of which 40 are elected by the first-past-the-post system or FPP and 26 by proportional representation or PR. Citizens' Movement (Mexico)
Citizens' Movement ( es, Movimiento Ciudadano) is a political party in Mexico. Dante Delgado Rannauro was its first leader. It was initially known as Convergence for Democracy ( es, Convergencia por la Democracia), but the name was shortened to simply Convergence ( es, Convergencia) in August 2002. In July 2011, it was reformed as the Citizens' Movement. Since the 4th of December 2018, Clemente Castañeda has been the head of the party as part of a new wave of young leaders. Convergence was founded as a "national political grouping" in 1997. It attained registered party status in 1999 and participated in federal elections in the 2000 general election as a component in the "Alliance for Mexico" ''(Alianza por México),'' whose (unsuccessful) presidential candidate was Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas. Social Encounter Party ( es, Partido Encuentro Social, PES) was a Mexican conservative political party established on the national level in 2014 and dissolved in 2018. It was part of the coalition ''Juntos Haremos Historia'' with the National Regeneration Movement and Mexico's Labor Party for the 2018 Mexican election. It preceded the Solidarity Encounter Party, established as its replacement in 2019 and granted national party status in 2020. History The Social Encounter Party was founded in 2006 by Dr. Hugo Eric Flores Cervantes, a pastor of a Neo-Pentecostal church that supported Felipe Calderón in the 2006 presidential election. MORENA () is a major Mexican left-wing political party. It is described as an anti-neoliberal and populist party. It is the ruling party of Mexico since 2018. The name is an acronym for the Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (National Regeneration Movement), and means brown-skinned in Spanish. It also alludes to Mexico's Catholic national patroness: the Virgin of Guadalupe, known as 'La Morena'. Ecologist Green Party Of Mexico
The Ecological Green Party of Mexico ( es, Partido Verde Ecologista de México, , PVEM or PVE) is a green-conservative political party in Mexico. In the 2012 legislative elections, the party took 34 seats in the Chamber of Deputies (out of 500) and nine seats in the Senate (out of 128). During the 2012 Presidential election, PVEM supported Enrique Peña Nieto (EPN), the candidate from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), who was elected. In 2018, PVEM supported Todos por México coalition, along with PRI and PANAL. José Antonio Meade, the coalition's candidate, came in third in a four-way race, with 16.43% of the vote.
