Le Thi Tuyet Mai
Le Thi Tuyet Mai (born 1967, Hanoi) is a Vietnamese diplomat, who in February 2020, was appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of Viet Nam to the United Nations Office and the World Trade Organization. Biography Mai was born in Hanoi in 1967 and was educated at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, graduating with a BA in International Relations in 1988. From 1988 to 1989 she studied Russian at the University of Kiev. In 1997 she was awarded an MA in International Economic Law from Yokohama National University, and was awarded her PhD from the same institution in 2000. In 1991 she joined the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry. She has held a number of posts in the service, including a posting from September 2013 to October 2016 as Ambassador to Norway. From May 2017 to February 2020 she was Director General of the Department of International Law and Treaties.
