Laura Puppato
Laura Puppato (born 17 February 1957, Crocetta del Montello) is an Italian politician. Puppato became engaged in politics in the 1990s within local environmentalist groups and was elected mayor of Montebelluna in 2002. She proved a very popular centre-left mayor in a Lega Nord's stronghold and was re-elected in 2007. The Senate of the Republic ( it, Senato della Repubblica), or simply the Senate ( it, Senato), is the upper house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Chamber of Deputies).
