Lars Barfoed
Lars Barfoed (; born 4 July 1957) is a Denmark, Danish politician representing the Conservative People's Party (Denmark), Conservative People's Party and was the party's leader from 2011 to 7 August 2014. He was Justice Minister of Denmark from February 2010 to October 2011, and Prime Minister of Denmark, Deputy Prime Minister of Denmark from January to October 2011. He also served as Minister for Family and Consumer Affairs of Denmark, Minister for Family and Consumer Affairs from 18 February 2005 to 14 December 2006. A report from Rigsrevisionen had criticized the food quality inspections which is his ministry's responsibility, as well as the information which Barfoed had passed on to Folketinget about the problems. The Danish People's Party announced that it no longer had confidence in him on 13 December, meaning that there was a risk that a majority in the Folketing no longer supporting Barfoed. Conservative People's Party (Denmark)
The Conservative People's Party ( da, Det Konservative Folkeparti, DKF), also known as The Conservatives () is a conservative centre-right political party in Denmark. The party is a member of the European People's Party (EPP) and International Democrat Union. History The party was founded in 1916 based mostly on its predecessor, Højre ("Right") after its downfall, but also on the Free Conservatives and a moderate faction of the liberal party Venstre. The party was a part of the coalition government during World War II, where the leader John Christmas Møller provided the voice for BBC London's daily radio to Denmark. Ritt Bjerregaard
Ritt Bjerregaard (full name Jytte Ritt Bjerregaard; 19 May 1941 – 21 January 2023) was a Danish politician who was a member of the Danish Social Democrats, and was Lord Mayor of Copenhagen from 1 January 2006 to 2010. Bjerregaard was Education Minister from 27 September to 19 December and again from 13 February 1975 to 22 December 1978. 1973 and from 1975 to 1978 in the Cabinets of Anker Jørgensen I, II and III, and Social Minister from 1979 to 1981 in Anker Jørgensen's fourth cabinet. Folketing
The Folketing ( da, Folketinget, ; ), also known as the Parliament of Denmark or the Danish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Denmark—Denmark proper together with the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Established in 1849, until 1953 the Folketing was the lower house of a bicameral parliament, called the Rigsdag; the upper house was Landstinget. It meets in Christiansborg Palace, on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen. The Folketing passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets and approving the state's accounts. As set out in the Constitution of Denmark, the Folketing shares power with the reigning monarch. Hans Christian Schmidt
Hans Christian Schmidt (born 25 August 1953 in Nustrup) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party. He is a teacher by profession, and has served as Denmark's Minister of Transport from 2010 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2016, as well as Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries from 2004 to 2007, and Minister for the Environment from 2001 to 2004.
