Luk (stylised as Lюk) was a Ukrainian music band from Kharkiv. After releasing four studio albums, Luk declared its breakup in 2011. Luk collaborated with Kharkiv-based Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan. Most of their Ukrainian-language songs were written in lyrics of Zhadan (in particular the first album ''Tourist zone'' is based on Zhadan's play "Merry Christmas, Jesus Christ"). 5'Nizza
5'nizza (slang spelling of , meaning "Friday") is an acoustic music, acoustic group formed in 2000 in Kharkiv, Ukraine that disbanded in 2007 and reunited in 2015. It is made up of friends Serhii Babkin (, guitar), and Andrii "Sun" Zaporozhets (, vocals). The band's music has a combination of influences: reggae, Latin American music, Latin, rock (music), rock and Hip hop music, hip hop, which is performed in a minimalistic folk music, folk style limited to vocals, beatboxing, and acoustic guitar. Acid jazz (also known as club jazz, psychedelic jazz, or groove jazz) is a music genre that combines elements of funk, soul music, soul, and hip hop music, hip hop, as well as jazz and disco. Acid jazz originated in clubs in London during the 1980s with the rare groove movement and spread to the United States, Western Europe, Latin America and Japan. Serhiy Viktorovych Zhadan (pen name: ''Serhiy Zhadan'') (; born 23 August 1974 in Starobilsk, Luhansk oblast, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian writer, musician, translator, and social activist. In early June 2024, Zhadan posted on his Facebook page that he had joined the 13th "Khartia" Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine which has been in active combat. Life and career Zhadan was born in Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast in Ukraine. He graduated from H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University in 1996 with a thesis on the work of Mykhaylo Semenko and the Ukrainian Futurist writers of the 1920s.
