Lương Sơn
Lương Sơn ( Mươ̒ng: Xa̭ Lương Xơn, Kinh: Xã Lương Sơn) is a commune of Phú Thọ province in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region of Vietnam. History On April 17, 2025, to meet the urgent needs of the '' Policy to Arrange and Merge Administrative Units'' by the Government of Vietnam, the Hòa Bình Provincial People's Committee have promoted an extraordinary conference. The result of the conference was a Resolution on the dissolution of all rural-district level administrative units in the whole province, followed by another Resolution on the merging of communes and the establishment of new communes with their new names. According to the political document officially published for the media, Lương Sơn township (Thi̭ chấn Lương Xơn, thị trấn Lương Sơn) was also dissolved. Regions Of Vietnam
The Vietnamese government often groups the various provinces and municipalities into three regions: Northern Vietnam, Central Vietnam, and Southern Vietnam. Christoforo Borri
Christoforo Borri (1583 in Milan – 24 May 1632 in Rome), also called Christopher Borrus in older English sources, was a Jesuit missionary in Vietnam, a mathematician, and an astronomer. In Vietnam Borri's family was one of good standing in Milan. He became a member of the Society of Jesus, 16 September 1601; in 1616 he was sent from Macau with the Jesuit priest Marquez, as one of the first missionaries to Đàng Trong (knowns to the Europeans as '' Cocincina'', now part of central Vietnam). Samuel Baron
Samuel Baron (April 27, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York – May 16, 1997 in New York City, United States) was an American flutist. He studied violin in high school and then attended The Juilliard School as a flute student of Georges Barrère and Arthur Lora, graduating in 1948. While at Juilliard, Baron formed the New York Brass Ensemble, and in 1953, the group released an LP recording of seven canzonas by Giovanni Gabrielli with Baron conducting. Meanwhile, the New York Woodwind Quintet had formed in 1947, and Baron was its flutist from 1948 until 1969 and again from 1980 until 1997. With the quintet, Baron made many recordings, premiered many works, and toured widely in North and South America, Asia, and Europe. He took a leave from the ensemble to perform as principal flute with the Minneapolis Symphony (now the Minnesota Orchestra) for the 1952–53 season. Trần Quốc Vượng (; 12 December 1934 – 8 August 2005) was a Vietnamese historian, archaeologist, and culturologist. He was part of the generation including Hà Văn Tấn, and Phan Huy Lê that had formed the foundation of Vietnamese History Studies since the 1950s.
