Läjä Äijälä (Terveet Kädet)
Veli-Matti "Läjä" Äijälä (born 29 September 1958) is a Finland, Finnish musician, comics artist and poet. He is best known as the singer and primary songwriter of the legendary hardcore punk band Terveet Kädet. Äijälä has been associated with many side projects like the synthpop band Leo Bugariloves, rockabilly group Billy Boys and noise rock band Death Trip. In 2004, Äijälä released a compilation album ''Passions of Läjä Äijälä'' which includes music of Terveet Kädet and eight of his side projects. Läjä Äijälä has been working as a comics artist since the 1980s. He has released several comics albums and a book of his poems. Äijälä has also done the artwork for some album covers. CMX (band)
CMX, originally Cloaca Maxima, is a Finnish rock band. They originally played hardcore punk, but soon expanded to play a wide variety of rock formats, including progressive rock, heavy metal, and mainstream rock 'n' roll. Throughout their career, they have been influenced by progressive rock bands such as Rush, Yes, Tool and King Crimson. The progressive influence is most evident on their albums '' Dinosaurus Stereophonicus'' (2000) and '' Talvikuningas'' (2007). CMX have gradually gained large-scale mainstream following in Finland. They are especially known for the poetic lyrics of A. W. Yrjänä that often contain references to mythology and religion. Finnish rock magazines, particularly '' Rumba'', have named them Best Band of the Year multiple times, and even Best Band of All Time on one occasion. Rockabilly
Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950s in the United States, especially the Southern United States, South. As a genre, it blends the sound of Western music (North America), Western musical styles such as country music, country with that of rhythm and blues, leading to what is considered "classic" rock and roll. Some have also described it as a blend of bluegrass music, bluegrass with rock and roll. Synth-pop (short for synthesizer pop; also called techno-pop; ) is a music genre that first became prominent in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument.
