Lytovezh, Volyn Oblast
Lytovezh ( Ukrainian: Литовеж) is a village in the Volodymyr Raion of the Volyn Oblast in Ukraine. The population is 1507 people. It is the centre of the Lytovezh rural hromada. Geography After the de-establishment and dissolution of Ivanychiv Raion on July 19, 2020, the village became part of Volodymyr Raion. The elevation in meters is 187 meters above sea level. The village is located on the oriental bank of the Bug River, also near itsborder with the Lviv Oblast. The settlement is located 5 km from Blahodatne, 12 km from Ivanychi and 10 km from Novovolynsk. History In the XIV century. Lithuanian princes built a castle with powerful earthen fortifications and watchtowers. Blahodatne, Volyn Oblast
Blahodatne (), formerly Zhovtneve (), is a rural settlement in Novovolynsk urban hromada, Volodymyr Raion, Volyn Oblast, western Ukraine. Population: History On 21 May 2016, Verkhovna Rada adopted decision to rename Zhovtneve to Blahodatne according to the law prohibiting names of Communist origin. Until 26 January 2024, Blahodatne was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Blahodatne became a rural settlement. Economy Transportation There is a railway line at the southern edge of the settlement connecting Novovolynsk and Ivanychi, however, there is no passenger traffic and no passenger station in Blahodatne. Volhynia Governorate
Volhynia Governorate, also known as Volyn Governorate, was an administrative-territorial unit ('' guberniya'') of the Southwestern Krai of the Russian Empire. It consisted of an area of and a population of 2,989,482 inhabitants. The governorate bordered Grodno and Minsk Governorates to the north, Kiev Governorate to the east, Podolia Governorate to the south, Lublin and Siedlce Governorates, and after 1912, Kholm Governorate and Austria to the west. Sigismund I the Old (, ; 1 January 1467 – 1 April 1548) was List of Polish monarchs, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1506 until his death in 1548. Novovolynsk (, ) is a List of cities in Ukraine, city in Volyn Oblast, Ukraine. Novovolynsk, together with the rural settlement of Blahodatne, Volyn Oblast, Blahodatne and six villages, is incorporated into Novovolynsk urban hromada. Ivanychi
Ivanychi (; ) is a rural settlement in Volyn Oblast, western Ukraine. It is located in the historic region of Volhynia. It is the administrative seat of Ivanychi settlement hromada. Population: History The first mention of Ivanychi in historical documents dates back to 1545. After the Union of Lublin in 1569, the village came under the rule of noble Poland. In 1629, there were 68 households in the village. And at the beginning of 1919, Ivanychi came under the rule of Poland, and in 1939 the village was captured by Soviet troops, and it was annexed to the Ukrainian SSR.
