Lyptsi
Lyptsi (; ) is a village in the Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. Situated at the point where the Lypets River flows into the Kharkiv River, Lyptsi is close to the border with Russia. It hosts the administration of Lyptsi rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. History The village was founded under the Tsardom of Russia in 1660 by peasants from Right-bank Ukraine. The area had fallen under Russian control as a result of the Khmelnytsky Uprising, with the Cossack Hetmanate swearing fealty to the Russian tsar. Russo-Ukrainian War Lyptsi was occupied by the Russian Armed Forces on 24 February 2022, the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Kharkiv Raion () is a raion (district) of Kharkiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Its capital (political), administrative center is the city of Kharkiv. Lyptsi rural territorial hromada () is a hromada located in Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast (province), Ukraine. The administrative center is Lyptsi. The total area and population of the hromada are and 13446 respectively. The rural hromada was formed on 12 June 2020 by merging the , , , , and village councils (''silska rada''; ) in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast. The first elections were held on 25 October 2020. 127th Territorial Defense Brigade
The 127th Territorial Defense Brigade () is a military formation of the Territorial Defense Forces (Ukraine), Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv. It is part of Operational Command East. History Formation In early March 2022 Colonel Roman Hryshchenko began forming the brigade in Kharkiv. In the first stage almost two thousand servicemen joined the unit. They were assigned to headquarters and two battalions. 2022 Kharkiv Counteroffensive
On September 6, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a major counteroffensive against the Russian military during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As Ukraine announced the start of the 2022 Kherson counteroffensive, Kherson counteroffensive in southern Ukraine in late August, Ukrainian forces also began a second counteroffensive in early September in Kharkiv Oblast, in eastern Ukraine. As the Ukrainian military broke through Russian defensive lines, it recaptured major cities in the matter of days. On September 7, the second day of the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian military advanced over into Russian-held territory. Battle Of Kharkiv (2022)
The battle of Kharkiv was a military engagement that took place from February to May 2022 in and around the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine, as part of the eastern Ukraine offensive during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Kharkiv, located just south of the Russia–Ukraine border and a predominately Russian language in Ukraine, Russian-speaking city, is the second-largest city in Ukraine and was considered a major target for the Russian military early in the invasion.
