Luční Bouda
Luční bouda (; ) is a mountain hotel in the Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic. The Luční bouda, which has existed in various forms since the 17th century, is the oldest mountain hut on the Giant Mountains ridges and one of the largest in Europe. The current structure, built between 1939 and 1940, covers 5,600 m², though it has undergone several reconstructions since. Geography Luční bouda is located in the territory of Pec pod Sněžkou in the Hradec Králové Region. It is located on the left bank of the Bílé Labe stream, west of the Úpské rašelinistě — the source of both the Elbe and Úpa rivers. Pec Pod Sněžkou
Pec pod Sněžkou (; ) is a town in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. The town lies in the Giant Mountains at the base of the highest Czech mountain, Sněžka. From the town a two-section Aerial lift, cable car system leads to the top of Sněžka. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI; ) is the central state office of the Czech Republic in the fields of air quality, meteorology, climatology and hydrology. Cyclone Herwart
Cyclone Herwart was a European windstorm that affected Southern Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic on 28–29 October 2017. Named by the Free University of Berlin Meteorology Department, the storm was an extratropical cyclone formed as a secondary low to a more northerly centre of low pressure named ''Grischa'' coming southward from the Svalbard Islands region, the latter splitting in two low-pressure areas late on 28 October. The center of Herwart started rotating counterclockwise around the main low pressure area, passing over Norway, Sweden, Latvia and then losing power while moving over western Russia. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic.
