Luziânia
Luziânia is a municipality in the state of Goiás, Brazil. This city is a producer of agricultural products, including soybeans and beans. Geography Location Luziânia is located 68km south of Brasília and is part of the area, called Entorno do Distrito Federal. Although the city has existed as a settlement since colonial days, its rapid growth occurred in the eighties and nineties with the population explosion of the federal capital and the need for less expensive living areas outside the planned city. The municipality is limited in the north by Valparaíso de Goiás and Novo Gama; in the south by Orizona and Ipameri; in the west by Santo Antônio do Descoberto, Alexânia, and Silvânia; and in the east by Cristalina. Novo Gama is a municipality in eastern Goiás state, Brazil. In 2020 the population was 117,703 inhabitants. Geography Location Novo Gama is part of the Entorno do Distrito Federal, the statistical micro-region that includes the cities in the state of Goiás that surround the Federal District. Cidade Ocidental
Cidade Ocidental is a municipality located in central Goiás state, Brazil. Geography It is bordered on the north by the Federal District, on the south by Luziânia, on the east by Cristalina and Luziânia, and on the west by Luziânia and Valparaíso de Goiás. The municipality has a tropical with altitude climate with temperature variations between 18 °C and 28 °C. The vegetation is typical of the cerrado with short and twisted trees, with some pockets of tropical tree growth. The main rivers are the São Bartolomeu, Saia Velha and Mesquita. Silvânia
Silvânia is a municipality in southcentral Goiás state, Brazil. History Around 1774, it was discovered gold in the region. There was an influx of gold miners; with them, it was brought a statue of Nosso Senhor of Bonfim. It gave name for the small village that was created, Bonfim. It became a municipality in 1857. Corumbá River
The Corumbá River (''Rio Corumbá'' in Portuguese) is the most important river in the Central Plateau region of Brazil. Its source is in the Montes de Pireneus, near Pirenópolis, state of Goiás, near the boundary with the Federal District and its length is 567 km. It receives the waters of the Descoberto and São Bartolomeu, which begin in the Federal District. There are plans to build a hydroelectric plant on this section of the river.
