Luis García Conde (born 23 April 1979) is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Toledo, Castilla–La Mancha, García was developed at Atlético Madrid, but never made it past their reserves. He went on to play with Xerez CD and CD Numancia in the Segunda División, achieving promotion with the latter. For the 2004–05 season, García moved to La Liga with Real Zaragoza after having been signed as a replacement for César Láinez, who had been forced to retire from football at just 27. He played all but one league game and conceded 53 goals, also appearing in ten UEFA Cup matches as the Aragonese exited in the round of 16 (50 in all competitions). The 2006–07 La Liga season was the 76th since its establishment. It began on 27 August 2006, and concluded on 17 June 2007. Real Madrid won La Liga thanks to a superior head-to-head record against runners-up Barcelona. Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad and Gimnàstic were relegated. Roberto Carlos Abbondanzieri (also spelled Abbondancieri, born 19 August 1972), nicknamed El Pato (''The Duck''), is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent most of his career for the Boca Juniors in his homeland, as well as Getafe of La Liga. After his retirement, he took up coaching. Abbondanzieri earned 49 caps for the Argentina national football team from 2004 to 2008, playing at two Copa America tournaments and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The 2004–05 UEFA Cup was the 34th edition of the UEFA Cup. The format of the competition had changed from previous seasons, replacing that from the previous one after the abolition of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1999; an extra qualifying round was introduced, as was a group phase after the first round. The group stage operated in a single round-robin format consisting of eight groups of five teams, each team plays two games at home and two away and the top three finishers of each group progress to the knock-out round, joining the eight third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage.
